Air Jordan 5

The Air Jordan 5 (V) is the fifth sneaker in the Air Jordan signature line. It debuted in February 1990 during the All-Star Game and was released throughout the rest of the year in four different original colorways — the “Black/Metallic”, “White/Fire Red”, “Fire Red”, and “Grape”.

While the Air Jordan 5 certainly has a range of coveted OG colorways in its family, it has also built up quite the catalog for itself in recent years by venturing into collaborative projects. Football club Paris Saint-Germain put their touch on a duo of colorways, Virgil Abloh created two iterations of the Off-White Air Jordan 5 and A Ma Maniere pulled together their own two colorways late last year.

Much the same way the Air Jordan 4 was in the spotlight for ’24, receiving a ton of release love to celebrate its 35th anniversary, the AJ5 will be a major focus in 2025. The return of the OG Air “Jordan 5 Fire Red” and “Grape” already loom as some of the biggest releases on the horizon, but it’s not just OGs that have our attention. A two-pack collab with the AWAKE NY Jordan 5 and some novel arrangements like the “Medium Soft Pink” and “Luminous Green” fill out the calendar between and make this a fantastic year to be a fan of the model.
